Using recEAT

1. What recEAT does
recEAT is a bill-splitting tool operated by recEAT. It helps users record meal items, divide amounts among participants, track who paid, and share a read-only meal page with a group.
2. recEAT is not a payment service
recEAT does not hold, transfer, receive or settle money for users. Payment details and QR codes are provided by the meal organizer for convenience. Any actual payment happens through a separate payment provider chosen by the users.
3. Check the numbers before paying
recEAT performs calculations from information entered by users. The organizer and participants are responsible for checking item prices, assignments, charges, payment amounts and settlement instructions before sending money.
4. Information about other people
If you add another person’s name, payment information, screenshot or other personal information, only add what is reasonably needed for the meal and make sure you are permitted to share it. Do not upload government IDs, card details, passwords, unrelated financial records or other unnecessary sensitive information.
5. Public share links
An enabled shared recEAT page can be viewed by anyone who has its link. Treat the link like something you would send only to the intended group. Organizers can disable public sharing from the meal page.
6. Accounts and security
Keep your login credentials private and use an email account you control. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the law provides otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use recEAT to impersonate people, harass others, publish information you are not allowed to share, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use the service for unlawful activity.
8. Availability
recEAT is currently offered as a free service and may change while it is being improved. The operator may maintain, modify or discontinue features. Reasonable efforts will be made to keep the service working, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
9. Deletion
You can delete individual meals and can permanently delete your account through the account page. Account deletion cannot be undone.

12. Applicable law
These terms are intended to be governed by applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without limiting rights that cannot legally be waived.
